JAD Outreach, Inc. is an Illinois not-for-profit and 510(c)(3) corporation. The primary purpose of JAD Outreach, Inc. is to provide education to women and girls assisting them to achieve a better life and reach their potential. To this end, the corporation conducts regular educational meetings, workshops and seminars.

JAD Outreach also strengthens its educational programs by working together with other professional associations, institutions and other not-for-profit organizations with similar objectives and audience.

Past activities prominently include provisioning an after-school program for girls at Manley High School in Chicago. The program sought to motivate continuing and life-long education, and to heighten awareness of vocational aspirations and options, and their requirements. Students were encouraged to expand their goals and to seek out those things that will empower them to reach their goals. JAD provided counseling and mentoring for each student's detailed exploration of next steps.

JAD Outreach, specifically, obtained a donation of personal computer equipment that further motivated participation in the Manley program by facilitating a competition for best school performance. JAD Outreach can be very proud that one of our girls from this program subsequently received a scholarship to Princeton University.

Recent activities centered on creating, planning and hosting an awareness campaign/event, together with the U.S. Marines Toys-for-Tots program. This combined event took place on December 14th, 2004, and benefited Toys-for-Tots by offering a reduced admission to attendees who brought a toy for donation to the Marine's program. The catered event featured speakers to provide success stories to encourage the women and girls in attendance, as well promote awareness of how JAD Outreach, Inc. can and will operate to benefit women and girls in the sphere of education, going forward. Many thanks to the fine people who took time out of their busy holiday schedules to support us.

In addition, the development and deployment of this Website for the specific purpose of disseminating information that benefits women and girls in their exploration of the possibilities for self-improvement, success strategy sharing, contemporary motivational success stories, and productive discussion, has been achieved.

JAD Outreach is planning a summer 2005 after school program for Chicago high school girls that will provide for detailed exploration of vocational and educational objectives, foster positive choices, and expand goals. It is our intent to include individual guidance to identify scholarship and grant offerings then available, and support the pursuit of those offerings.

JAD Outreach will raise funds as necessary to conduct this program and/or establish alliances with local institutions for:

  • procurement of facilities
  • arrangements for qualified industry, educational and motivational speakers
  • acquisition of relevant resources
  • scheduling and conduct of field trips
  • searching out scholarships and grants, and facilitating applications

Longer term, JAD Outreach will regularly conduct after school programs as described above, endeavoring to improve the quality and reach of these programs. It is anticipated that this activity will comprise 50-60% of JAD Outlook's activities and resources.

JAD Outreach will also develop, deploy and conduct regular educational meetings, workshops and seminars in support of our adult women constituents. The aim of this activity is to assist women in their efforts to achieve a better life through continuing education, positive goal setting, and self empowerment. JAD Outreach will raise funds as necessary to conduct this program and/or establish alliances with local institutions for:

  • procurement of facilities
  • arrangements for qualified industry, educational and motivational speakers
  • acquisition of relevant resources
  • establishing relevant personal networks
  • hosting an information clearing house germane to adult women's potential

This activity will comprise 40-50% of JAD Outlook's activities and resources.

Funding for all activities will primarily be from individual and corporate donations.

Yvonne F Brown (President) will plan and manage all activities, and will personally conduct many of the seminars and workshops. Ms. Brown holds a Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University and is additionally qualified by over 10 years of experience in the management of projects of similar or larger scope as those cited.
